Elizabeth Davies is an associate attorney at the Women’s Divorce and Family Law Group. Ms. Davies devotes her practice strictly to family and matrimonial law since being admitted to the Illinois bar in May 2014. Ms. Davies has experience representing clients with various needs, including contested allocation of parental responsibilities and other child-related matters, negotiating and preparing settlement agreements, litigation, valuation and allocation of assets, child support, maintenance, post-decree issues, prenuptial agreements, and uncontested matters. When representing her clients, she combines her compassion for helping others with her courtroom litigation skills.
During law school, Elizabeth worked as a law clerk for several family law firms in Chicago where she refined her legal research and drafting skills. Elizabeth also gained courtroom experience as a child representative resolving contested parenting issues with Loyola University’s Child Law Clinic.
Ms. Davies received her Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law (cum laude) in January 2014 where she earned a certificate in Child and Family Law. While in law school, Elizabeth received two CALI Academic Achievement Awards. Elizabeth also served as the Junior Editor for the Children’s Legal Rights Journal. Prior to law school, Ms. Davies obtained a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Ms. Davies is an active member in the Chicago Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association. In Ms. Davies’ free time, she volunteers with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, and serves on the Junior Executive Board for Deborah’s Place, a women’s homeless shelter in Chicago.
